After earning his PhD in Physics from the University of Wisconsin—Madison in 1994, Senthil transitioned to Wall Street, joining a wave of scientists who were instrumental in the evolution of quantitative finance. His career includes significant tenures at some of the largest and most successful hedge funds, most notably at Two Sigma Investments, where he advanced to the role of Chief Risk Officer, overseeing the risk management of a $60 billion portfolio.
